Eleven Fifty Academy Rebrands as Blaizing Academy
July 9, 2024 (Indianapolis, IN) – Eleven Fifty Academy, originally created as a coding and cyber education bootcamp, is rebranding as Blaizing Academy to position itself ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape and to create a comprehensive training platform to foster an inclusive tech community and ignite a new era in tech and business education.
As Blaizing Academy, Qualls and his team will provide world-class AI training that equips students with the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. The new name embodies the Academy’s mission to blaze a trail in AI education while ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, can thrive in tech.
“The new name reflects our renewed commitment to innovation and excellence, symbolizing our position at the forefront of tech education,” Blaizing Academy Executive Director John Qualls said during the Academy’s recent inaugural Fusion Ai event. “Eleven Fifty Academy accomplished so much in bringing coding education to the masses. In a rapidly changing environment, our new Blaizing Academy must meet the challenges of building a tech workforce by providing them with new skills.”

An important part of this initiative includes launching a new series of conferences and events, like the Fusion AI Conference held on June 28th, to foster community engagement and knowledge sharing. They plan to expand these events into new communities and begin offering new short-form AI workshops designed to close the skill gap and make advanced technology accessible to all. They will also re-imagine their cybersecurity program to integrate AI, ensuring that their graduates are at the cutting edge of technology and security.
Blaizing Academy is an Indiana Wesleyan University enterprise, which previously acquired the assets of predecessor organization Eleven Fifty Academy in 2022.
