What is the Triangle?

About the Triangle

Triangle is the storytelling platform of Indiana Wesleyan University, encompassing Triangle Magazine, the Triangle Blog, and IWU’s latest news and event coverage. Together, these spaces highlight the people, ideas, and moments that shape IWU—celebrating academic excellence, spiritual growth, and Christ-centered impact in the world.

The name Triangle honors the university’s roots. When Marion College—now Indiana Wesleyan University—opened in 1920, the campus stood on a distinctive triangular tract of land in south Marion, known as the “Old Triangle.” That original footprint became a lasting symbol of unity, strength, and tradition—values that continue to guide our stories today.

Through in-depth magazine features, timely blog posts, press releases, and campus updates, Triangle shares the voice of IWU with alumni, students, faculty, and friends across the globe.
